Los Angeles: Supermodel Carmen Electra and rocker Rob Patterson have called off their engagement. Electra, 40, who was supposed to wed Patterson four years ago, has reportedly ended her relationship with the Filter musician, reported a magazine.

"It is off. She has not been wearing her ring for a while, but they are good friends and it has been really hard for them to fully separate," a source said. News of the split emerges a day after Electra was declared a celebrity contestant on new US TV dating show `The Choice`.

"Carmen is really nervous about getting back into the dating pool, so keeping Rob around makes her feel less anxious about being single. It is not like they will get back together. The romance part is dead. They are done," the source added. Electra was previously married to former basketball star Dennis Rodman and Jane`s Addiction rocker Dave Navarro.

The wait is over - the list of celebrities appearing on FOX's summer dating show "The Choice" has been released. "Lois & Clark" actor Dean Cain, who once romanced Brooke Shields and was engaged to country star Mindy McCready, is looking for love on the dating show modeled on "The Voice."

So is singer Joe Jonas, who was recently linked to Sports Illustrated model Nina Agdal after splitting from actress Ashley Greene in March last year. Rapper Romeo, model Tyson Beckford, "American Idol" singer Taylor Hicks, and "Jersey Shore" stars Pauly D and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino have also signed up for the show.

On the female episode of the series, actress Carmen Electra and singer/actress Sophie Monk will be the contestants. The stars will choose their partners by listening to them with their backs turned. The celebrity will then pull on his "love handle" to turn around and come face-to-face with his date. If more than one celebrity turns, it's up to the contestant to choose who to go on a date with. "The Choice," hosted by Cat Deeley, debuts on FOX on Thursday, June 7.

The American beauty was using her famous assets to promote Pokerist online poker games. One picture was released last week but now we have the full set. Carmen, 40, recently stood in for Amanda Holden on Britain's Got Talent after the Brit actress gave birth.

But fellow judge Alesha Dixon said ex-Baywatch star Carmen didn't make any effort to get on with the rest of the panel. Alesha explained: “She didn’t seem interested in getting to know us. “Carmen didn’t give much back. She seemed a little bit more comfortable by day three.”And the BGT audiences didn't warm to Carmen either, with crowds booing her as she entered the venue.

A source said: “As soon as she got out of the car people were booing and shouting ‘you’re s***, who are you?’ and ‘we want Amanda’. “Carmen was mortified. She was really nervous on the panel too. "Every time Simon buzzed an act off, Carmen would hit her buzzer seconds later. She figured if she followed him then she’d be safe."

But Carmen gets back to doing what she does best in horror flick 2-Headed Shark Attack. The shapely star can be seen posing on a luxury yacht in the thriller, where she plays the wife of a college professor in charge of a ship full of students. But things take a turn for the worse when the ship is attacked by a mutant shark.

British singer Alesha Dixon was disappointed by her experience working with Carmen Electra on Britain's Got Talent after the actress snubbed her efforts to make friends. The former Baywatch beauty was recruited to join the panel of the U.K. TV competition as a stand-in for judge Amanda Holden, who gave birth in January (12).

Dixon admits she and funnyman David Walliams had hoped to strike up a friendship with Electra but the American wasn't interested. She says, "She didn’t seem interested in getting to know us. Carmen didn’t give much back. (But) she seemed a little bit more comfortable by day three.”Electra lost popularity with the crowds at the auditions, too - she was booed for criticising an aspiring young singer and a popular dance group.
